BD Performance - Track Fiesta ST

Some builds start with a plan.

This one started with a question.

We picked up this Fiesta ST from a friend of Darren’s — a local farmer who’d been using it as a daily runaround. Nothing crazy, just a solid little car with potential.

At first, we debated the usual route:

Keep it fairly standard, tidy it up… maybe sell it on.

Yeah… that didn’t last long.

We quickly decided to take it in a completely different direction —

turn it into a proper track weapon.

From Runaround to Track Machine

The transformation was exactly what you’d expect from BD Performance.

The car was fully stripped out, shedding everything unnecessary in favour of weight reduction and performance. From there, it was built up with a clear goal in mind — not just fast, but capable, balanced, and reliable on track.

Key upgrades included:

• Hybrid turbo setup for strong, usable power

• Full interior strip and weight reduction

• Bucket seats and harnesses

• Roll cage for rigidity and safety

• Chassis and suspension setup focused on track performance

We could’ve gone further — a massive turbo, big numbers, full headline build —

but that was never the point.

This car was about showing what a Fiesta ST should be when it’s built properly for track use.

Purpose Over Power

Instead of chasing dyno figures, we focused on:

• Driveability

• Balance through corners

• Consistency lap after lap

The result was a car that didn’t just look the part — it delivered exactly where it mattered.

A proper driver’s car.

The End of the Chapter

After serving its purpose and proving what could be done with the platform, the Fiesta eventually saw less use and ended up sitting more than it should have.

So, in late 2025, we made the decision to part ways with it.

What It Represented

This build perfectly sums up a different side of BD Performance:

• Not everything needs to be extreme to be impressive

• Smart builds often outperform wild ones

• The right setup matters more than just big power

It may be gone, but it did exactly what it was built to do —

prove a point.
